Recently Sanyo, the global consumer electronic giant, and Kodak announced a $350 million joint venture for the manufacture and sale of OLED displays. Several other major companies have announced their intentions to invest and develop OLED technology to meet their business goals. This major endorsement of OLED technology makes it a prime contender in the multi billion-dollar consumer, industrial and military markets. Current technology focuses on ink-jet printing. AstroView¹s intellectual properties apply to ink jet as well as woven electroluminescent displays. AstroView¹s key patents in the area of OLED display technology are critical to development of OLED technology in terms of meeting the demands of economy and picture quality, giving AstroView a very strong position in the current display industry. AstroView¹s strengths in entering the flat screen display market, we believe, are:

  • AVI¹s patented technology will bring a new standard to the display industry in the areas of size, chromaticity for clarity approaching 35mm, dramatically reduced power consumption, and enabling better economies for production.
  • AVI¹s woven technology is not limited by screen size, geometry or formability whereas ink jet is limited to 5-6 inches currently.
  • It is unlikely that other flat panel displays can meet low enough price points to be commercially viable without AVI¹s technology in its array of patents especially where sizes greater than 5 inches are important.

AVI intends to take advantage of all market segments including Military, Industrial and Consumer, replacing ALL displays like CRT¹s, LCD¹s, FED, Plasma Display and other potential electroluminescent video displays whereby clarity, color and cost and size are important. Markets include but are not limited to:

Flat TVs
Flat Monitors
Notebook Computers
Projection Systems PDAs
Handheld Computers
GPS
Video Imaging
Transportation
Military/Aerospace
Commercial
Industrial
Consumer

AstroView¹s distinguished management team is capable of fully exploiting the market potential of AstroView and is committed to establishing AstroView as a uniquely positioned company. The team has experience in the following industries: Electronics, Chemistry, Economics, Finance, Law and Business.

Due to our most recent patent approval AstroView is now completing the proprietary manufacturing process and working model phase. AstroView intends to work with strategically identified partners in this development process to facilitate and expedite this phase. This effort will allow AVI to have a working model of the woven electroluminescent display (WELD) product in 6 to 18 months. Much of this has already been accomplished separately and the results have been positive.

The strengths of AstroView¹s patents give AVI the option of licensing the technology to the largest manufacturers of displays to co-manufacture specific sized displays for royalty income and additional capital for co-manufacturing. AstroView foresees co-manufacturing displays with the AstroView name for brand recognition with the public. AstroView contemplates a public offering at some time in the next 24 months depending on market conditions.
